Today.

Today has been filled with housework, yet, surprisingly, a very pleasant day has also been had.  The downstairs is once again looking respectable, and in the process Rye and I have had a lot of fun.  We didn't get to go on a bike ride, which he's disappointed about, but sadly time got away from me.  I didn't factor in a phone call to my brother, and then downloading Skype so we could continue talking more easily - and for free.  Rye thought it was fabulous too, and spent a lot of time pulling faces at his Uncle Kev and Aunty Helen.

The day also factored in a hair cut for Rye just his fringe and sides, his hair is growning again and I couldn't be more pleased, especially when he covered his hair with his arms and said, "Fringe only, I don't want you to cut my hair!".  Only too happy to oblige ;-)

And for the first time in the nearly 3 years we have lived in this property, I sampled the berries from the tree at the bottom of the garden - admittedly because I didn't know what it was for all that time.

Just a handful, the birds have had most of the cherries or just that the wind has blown them off the tree.  They were very pleasant, even Rye had a couple.   These trees are dotted all over the place down here - I'm kinda assuming they are wild cherries, as the berries do not grow very big?  Either way rather tasty, pity there isn't enough for Cherry Pie - my favourite!
