Skippety Skip!

I feel almost back to normal! Woohoo.
What a gawd awful week, last week was - but anyway onwards and upwards as they say.

So a bit of a catch up.

Last Sunday I took Rye to the twins' birthday party, he had a marvelous time. And looked rather snazzy in his stripy purple trouser and black waistcoat. He loved the bouncy castle, although it did give me a few heart attacks because it kept tipping over.
Rye crashed as soon as we arrived home, he was so tired, bless him. A great party.
That was about it really, as all last week I was ill.
Sunday I was very poorly, I did perk up a little toward the end of the evening and the only activity I was up for was crochet. So I decided to make Rye some mits to match his hat:
The photo does not really capture the brightness of the orange; nonetheless I'm rather chuffed with how the mit came out. I've almost finished the second; reversing the colours, so the cuff is purple this time. I'll hook Rye a scarf to match. Just a shame this yarn is acrylic; after working with lovely wool recently, the acrylic feels, well plastic, know what I mean?

Ohhh and remember the sewing machine? If I'm ever to use it then I need a space to work; plus painting has been slow going of late because of the need to bring my equpment downstairs to work at the table and then take it all back up again when I've finished. So began the search for a desk. I came across this one on Amazon reduced to £44.99 from £149.99 Bargain.

As much as I'd love to have a little studio space, there isn't room in this little house for that; but by moving my bed back against the wall the desk fits in lovely and I have a good amount of space for painting and, eventually sewing :-)

How I would love studio space too! I think we are going to convert our garage into a hobby room, so fingers crossed. That table looks perfect.

Wouldn't it be nice. I dream of a light and airy space, with plenty fo wall space for putting up things that inspire me, as well as my work.

Maybe one day, eh :-)

I know what you mean about being spoilt by the nice yarns! I also long for studio space lol.

Glad you're both so much better. :)

Glad to see your feeling better. Is Ryes waistcoat from Susumama? I think I recognise the trousers.

Lovely sturdy looking desk. Is it rubberwood? I guess I too will have to join the list of those longing for a studio space.
