Shiney

Birthday present to myself.

Soooo beautiful, and so excited that I have a basket on the front, lol.
I am however, a wee bit in shock how much this bike has cost.  I had to go for a sturdy frame and big tyres to support my weight, and admittedly there were cheaper models, but as soon as I saw this one I fell in love.

That's me skint for the rest of the month lol, as this bike, plus accessories was nearly £200 MORE than I planned to pay!  Oooh but shiney!

10:20pm:
Just had a quick ride round the block, oooh lovely, but I will have to raise the seat, which is slightly problematic as I have very short legs and I'm almost on tiptoes as it is - still once I gain a bit more confidence - after all it has been nearly 20 years since I was last on a bike!  And loose a bit more weight, it won't be an issue.... and ooh I did love that I could zip around the estate in mere minutes, whereas if I were to walk it woul take me about 10 mins!  Brilliant.  Can't wait for Rye to be more steady on his bike so we can begin taking little trips around the block to get him use to riding with me before attempting anything further a field.

yup :-) Once he's a bit more stable on his bike, and I've built up a bit more fittness, then we can start going on bike rides. Rather hoping to get fit enough that I can put a trailer on the back too, so I can use the bike during the week day when I'm working too!

Oh lovely. I am planning on getting a bike and trailer when we go to Berlin - cheaper than a car, more eco friendly and a chance to get fit. It is all good (apart from the rain!).
Gorgeous bike :)

I remember I got a bike as an adult for the first time since I was a child (if I said my bike before was a red Raleigh Chopper would you know I meant the 70s lol). I honestly nearly died on the journey from my house to my Mum's. It was a lot more hard work than I remembered. I seemed to remember coasting along with my hair streaming behind me, laughing happily. NOT, purple in the face, sweat lashing and thighs wobbling like jelly.
Ahem, maybe its just me.
Bon voyage and safe travels
