Delmere Forest

Fantastic day spent at Delamere Forest on the Stone Age day.
I spent most of the day sat in the cafe crocheting and drinking coffee, while Rye went off with the ranger and the rest of the children to meet the stone age people.  They had a great time making shelters, learning about traps, cooking food and making clay pots.  The day has really enthused Rye, and he's keen to learn more about the stone age people!

Yay, love it when he gets inspired, makes filling that head with knowledge so much easier!

Handy really because the next history topic is the Early peoples and Nomads.
