A few Taaa-Daaahs today. Next Friday Rye and I are travelling up to the Mercian Gathering, with a friend, and as the weather is turning increasingly autumnal and chilly, hooking some warmth seemed a good idea.
The head hugger I mention in my last post:
I used Jame C Brett Marble Chunky yarn for this. 100% acrylic, but ooh so soft and warm! I loved this colourway so much I've made myself a pair of wrist warmers from it:
Oooh and a sneak preview there of the ripple blanket, which is near completion. Hoping to finish that in time to take to the Mercian.
I've also made Rye a pair of bed socks from a stylecraft 100% wool DK yarn. Sadly the colourway has been discontinued, which is a shame. Rye loves his bedsocks; I will have to take a photo of them later ;-)
Oooh and there's been yummy goodness bought from Susumama's online shop; rainbow waist coat for Rye,
stripey trousers, t'shirts, jumpers, including another pixie jumper, and for me, I treated myself to these:
Aren't they fab! I almost can't wait for the colder weather to wear them!

Nothing like a rainbow of colours to cheer even the dullest of days!
The ripple blanket is just fab! Just right for keeping you warm on a camping trip.

WOW love it x
I have just learned to crochet and I am desperate to start rippling :). It is such a great thing to do - a bit addictive though. Have a cosy wonderful time at the festival.
