Brought some toys into my room, moved the tv & dvd player back in here too and had dvds on pretty much constant while I snoozed. I think my bones are trying to liquify, they ache so much :-(
Obviously, over the past few days I have got out of bed and made Rye food etc because this morning I came donwstairs to find the kitchen looking like a tip. Tidied it up and even decided to clean the oven. Gawd knows why, not the best of things to do with a temperature of 38.6. Oddly I don't feel too ill today, just hot and sweating buckets and of course I'm a snot factory - yuck! Ears are blocked terribly too, can't hear a darn thing.
Sunday I decided to make pancakes and because I've no syrup or honey in the house I decided to knock a syrup together. I was rather impressed - although it may have tasted rank, the cold means I'm not tasting much at the moment.
The syrup was a cup of dark brown sugar
cup of water
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of ginger
1/2 gsp of mixed spice.
For tea I made fafala and potatoe wedges. Really like the fafala and Rye does too. Yum Yum.
One benefit of being ill and no laptop is the amount of crocheting I'm doing. At the moment I'm trying to get the tension right for the dress for the GP mama, and in between I've had a go at lacy crochet and made this crochet hook roll:
And I finished the eggs - and inspired by the lacy crochet decided to try adding it to one of the eggs:
Quite pleased with how it's turned out.
