What to do?

When one's larder is getting extremely low and there's no eggs, flour, bread and the milk is starting to go off; what to do for breakfast?

Microwave rice pudding is what.

cup of brown rice
2-3 cups of water

cook on high in the microwave for about 23 minutes (in a large bowl)
Once cooked add sugar, vanilla extract and cream

Howver if you don't have cream and only milk that is starting to turn, then add it to the rice with the milk, sugar and a little cinnamon and pop back in the microwave for 3-4 minutes.

Tasty mock rice pudding - I reckon this would be really nice with dried fruit added and nuts too - but of course I don't have any of that in either.  Roll on tomorrow when the groceries get delivered!
