This week.

Forest School, and pretending to be birds, using a peg as a beak, to create the above nest.  Rye and mindie, won "best nest" category.  They were very proud.

Learning about making fire, and once the rather reluctant fire did get going the children enjoyed hot chocolate.
Playing with cut off bits of wood found in the forest school area.  We brought a few pieces home to join our collection of "tree blocks".  (with permission of course)

And some hooky time, a cowl to go with the hat.  Really pleased how this turned out.  Working on a pair of mitts now.  Honestly they should be finished as i did start them on Thursday, but we've been busy and I've had much chance for hooky time.

Thursday was a really good day, forest school was great and Rye participated beautifully, I was so proud of him.  Then in the evening it was the National Autistic Society's evening at kids planet.  I drove over to Ashford and picked up some a new(ish) home ed family, whom are quickly becoming fast friends.  It was a really good evening, the two hours zoomed by!  Rye and C got on so well, and Rye has been asking loads when he will next see C and O.   Wonderful to see my boy making friends so easily and having a whale of a time.

Oh yeah, I love Forest School, I'm arranging another to begin in May that will run monthly for the entire year.
